Itinerary Overview
The Vietnam Cross Country Dirtbike Expedition 18 Days with The IA is built for riders who want the full Vietnam experience — mountains, jungle, coastline, highlands, historic war trails, island-dotted lakes, and the deep river culture of the Mekong. This is The BIG journey, the kind of ride you remember years later, and one of the most complete long-distance motorcycle tours in Southeast Asia.
Starting in Hanoi, the route rolls into the limestone valleys of Ninh Binh, then climbs toward the terraced mountains and ethnic villages of Pu Luong. From here, the tour reconnects with the historical Ho Chi Minh Trail at Tan Ky, riding through jungle-lined passes and karst formations into Phong Nha, Vietnam’s cave kingdom.
The journey pushes west into Khe Sanh, tracing war-era routes before descending into the ancient charm of Hoi An. The trail then heads deep into the remote mountains of Prao, Kham Duc, and Kon Tum, where tribal cultures, sweeping ridges, and untouched backroads reveal Central Vietnam’s wild side.
The second half of the expedition shifts toward the coast at Nha Trang, followed by pine forests and cool air in Da Lat, and off-road sections leading to the sandy landscapes of Mui Ne.
The final days enter the Mekong Delta, riding through canals, orchards, and riverside towns in Can Tho and Chau Doc, before concluding in vibrant Saigon — completing one of Vietnam’s most complete and rewarding motorcycle routes.
This is not just a ride across Vietnam. It’s the country’s entire diversity packed into 18 unforgettable days.
