Although there are many similarities among the six countries of what is now known as Indochina - Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia and Vietnam- there are also many differences. Establisment of Indochina Adventure

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." This quote is an encouraging reminder that has motivated us since the first day we sowed the seeds of our adventure story. Our urge to go further distances and explore the unknown drove some of us literally to the end of the globe and back. The extreme dynamics of life on the road are unparalleled in terms of challenging our prejudices of life that kicked us out of our comfort zones. These experiences have dramatically altered our perception of ourselves and brought us closer to cultures vastly different from those in the small corner of the globe that we call HOME.

Step by step

Like most companies, Indochina Adventure had a humble beginning. Their founder, Tuan Ta, a passionate adventurer who had spent years in the wilderness of the adventure tourism industry, sought to infuse his love for motorcycles with a new purpose. The brand came into being after the founder, with the help and support of like-minded fellows, decided to share the grandeur of its home state of Vietnam with fellow motorcycle riders. Initially established as a regional tour and rental interest, it gradually shifted its focus to expand internationally. Indochina Adventure, the international adventure motorcycle company, was born.

Facing multiple hurdles

Ever since then, their journey has been speeded up. They have evolved from a seasonal motorcycle tour company in Vietnam to a global player, with four motorcycle rental locations across Indochina. This expansion allows riders worldwide to rent at any location for round-trip or one-way excursions. The Indochina Adventure fleet of vehicles ranges from single-cylinder dual-sports units to 4 wheels 4x4 pickup trucks, emphasizing touring-style adventure road trips of all makes. Their guided tours now run throughout the year in over 5 countries. Tours last from 7 to 20 days and focus on motorcycle-centric activities, bucket-list items, or extreme terrain on the map. Depending on the location, tours vary in their level of adventure, ranging from cushy to spartan and from easy to technical riding. Tailored tours have become an integral part of their repertoire, and they have been taking tailored groups to exotic locations all over the world.

They've had plenty of ups and downs throughout their journey, including ownership changes and teammates. But as a brand, they've soldiered past all these. They continue to make a name for themselves in the motorcycle tour world, earning a reputation for reliability and durability.

The Indochina team is a group of passionate motorcycle travellers with an extensive collective experience. We have spent decades riding across the Globe, accumulating hundreds of thousands of miles on our mileage display. This beautiful life gained us baskets of knowledge of the destinations in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, the local culture, the tourist industry, and customer care. Our team, more than just a group of colleagues, is a close-knit family united by our love of adventurous travel and a strong professional work ethic.

Founder/Road Captain

Tuan is the founder and owner of Indochina Adventure. He was born in Uncle Ho's name city, Ho Chi Minh, where he took his first steps on all kinds of motorbikes, and since then, he hasn't been able to get off the bike. He has been riding through the entire Indochina on the bike for the unbeatable feeling of total freedom, and at the age of 28, he chose this adventure style for his first child, Indochina Adventure. As you can see, this company is the result of his love for combining his three greatest passions—motorcycling, traveling, and adventure—which is distilled in its slogan, "Venture in vein." An explorer at heart, along with his expertise in navigating complex routes, he's always looking to challenge new adventures around the world. Tuan's academic background in physics, mathematics, and chemistry, along with his Vietnamese, English, and French language skills, enables him to connect with people from diverse cultures. His skills as a tour guide benefit him in guiding you through the hidden spots of Indochina and especially around Vietnam, which he knows perfectly. Quiet and decisive, he will lead you safely on your motorbike excursion, and his attention to the road makes him an ideal companion. After years of working in multiple roles in the adventure tourism industry to accumulate experience in his 20s, he gradually set up Indochina Adventure in the heart of Vietnam in Hanoi and then expanded its presence to 5 countries.
